Feature Overview

Vocabia offers a variety of features designed to help you effectively learn a new language. Below is a quick summary of each key feature:

1. Mini-Stories

Mini-stories are short, engaging texts categorized into themes like Horror, Adventure, Friendship, and Humor. They are tailored to your language level and provide a fun way to practice reading and expand your vocabulary. Click on unknown words to see their meaning and pronunciation, then create flashcards to review later.

2. Graded Readers

Graded readers are longer, structured texts that gradually increase in difficulty. They are divided into levels: Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, and Advanced. This progression helps you build vocabulary and reading comprehension step by step. Use graded readers to discover new words, save them as flashcards, and improve your language skills at a comfortable pace.

3. Flashcards

Vocabia’s flashcards use a Spaced Repetition System (SRS), similar to Anki, to help you memorize vocabulary effectively. Create flashcards from words you encounter in the texts and review them in a smart, time-optimized way. You can choose between Think and Answer mode or Type the Answer mode, where you can mark answers as correct even if you made a minor typo.
